Capri College offers a supportive, hands-on learning environment that is not like a traditional college. Our programs can prepare you for rewarding careers in the beauty industry, so you can do what you love and love what you do! If you are interested in enrolling in any of our four Iowa campuses, you will need to go through a simple enrollment process. Our admissions team is here to help you every step of the way, so feel free to contact us with any questions.
Applying for financial aid is one aspect of your enrollment process. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. You can pay for your beauty school education with a combination of federal aid and more. If you have any questions, we are always willing to help you out!
If you are unsure about attending beauty school, or you wish you could try it out before committing to a program, we have a great opportunity for you! Our Two-Week Trial Period allows you to try out our school for two full weeks of classes without being committed to significant tuition charges. After enrolling, if you are not fully satisfied with your student experience, or if you need to cancel your enrollment for any reason within the first two weeks, we will provide a 100% refund, less your application fee.

We put student success first, which means we keep the student/teacher ratio low so that each student can get individualized attention. Our supportive, family-like atmosphere promotes friendships and personal growth. Students are encouraged to express their artistry and build their confidence through trying new things.
Community is important to us, too. We support our local communities with donations to charities. Our ties with local salons and spas and other related industries can be a great help for students who are looking for employment after graduation.
Capri in Waterloo is absolutely amazing.I went to school there and they did amazing job I learned so much. I graduated and I still get my hair done there because there prices and the teachers and students do such amazing job every time.
I was a student at Capri and graduated last year. My instructors were all so supportive and kind and always there for us not just with school stuff but personal too. (The amount of times I cried in Surps office cuz I was having a bad day and she never ever made me feel bad for it and would let me sit there and talk to her until I felt better) Capri is not just about beauty, it’s about building lasting friendships and learning about yourself! The beauty industry is literally billions of dollars and we can ALL be successful and Capri helped show us that!!!
I graduated from Capri almost 2 years from the cosmetology program and Capri definitely set me up for success with all the knowledge my instructors had and passed down to me! If you are interested in going to cosmetology school I highly recommend Capri College in Waterloo
I attended Capri last year and graduated through the cosmetology program and my college experience was great! All the instructors there are very kind and helpful while still letting you have full range of your creativity! S.O to my instructor Surp for pushing me to finish my hours!
I made lifelong friends and made so many great memories along the way. Some of my favorite classes were the special FX makeup, the straight razor course and the facial massage class. I also loved being a Capri Camp counselor and getting to teach the kids about makeup. The scheduling of clients on the floor was a great way for me to become more sociable and comfortable with multitasking my work and getting to know the client.
Choosing Capri College was one of the best decisions I've ever made. From day one, I felt supported and encouraged to grow-not just as a stylist, but as a person. The instructors pushed me to believe in myself, refine my skills, and step outside of my comfort zone. I graduated feeling confident, prepared, and excited to start my career. Capri will always hold a special place in my heart.
Capri College has given me confidence in my ability that I will own forever. My favorite part of the program was the hands-on learning. The fast-paced nature of the program was challenging, but it has prepared me for my career as a Massage Therapist.
Transfers are allowed. We require that a minimum of 25% of the hours/credits required for graduation from Capri College programs must be completed at Capri College.
Financial aid is available to those who qualify. You can fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) to find out what you may qualify for. A Financial Aid Advisor can help you better understand your financing options, so feel free to contact us!
We offer Continuing Education courses at specific times throughout the year. Reach out to our team to ask about upcoming opportunities. Most courses have an online enrollment option.
We divide program costs into two categories: (1) tuition, and (2) books, equipment, and uniforms. You can see what is included in the books and equipment here:
Once you have completed your application, provided us with the necessary documentation, paid the admissions fee, toured the school, and completed your pre-admissions interview, all you have to do is wait for us to get in touch! We will let you know if you are accepted into our beauty school, and then we will provide you with the information you need to get ready for your first day.
*Full acceptance is determined after successfully completing the two-week trial period.
